Kevin is board certified in Surgery and Clinical Informatics. He trained at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he won accolades for research, education, and clinical performance. During his training Kevin saw a need for systems to support clinical decision
making, leading him to help design software and hardware to improve clinical outcomes.
He is now a physician executive that leads
teams focused on digital healthcare and
combining vendor software with the electronic
medical record at an academic institution. His
entrepreneurial background, multiple patents,
and commercialization expertise support his
role as the leader of a technology transfer
office focused entirely on healthcare
innovation. As a scientist, he has received
funding from the NIH, DOD, and other
extramural sources. He’s authored over
